• what should I bring to my room? - nothing.
• what to wear? it's summertime but you're in the mountains. be prepared for hot days and occasional cool evenings.
• what meals are included? breakfast and dinner at the terrace inn dining room.
• will you have a snack table? One of our traditions is the snack table. Please bring a bag or box of snacks.
• should I bring a lawn chair? not necessary.
• will the retreat have a "give & take table"? yes.
• when is "show and tell"? tbd.
• when is check out? - check out is 11:00 sunday morning. but there's no rush - enjoy the time between breakfast and 11 to ​fellowship and knit!
• what amenities are in my room? - each room at the terrace hotel includes private bath, bath linens, flat screen tv, free ​wifi, mini fridge, air conditioning, and heat. hair dryers, irons, and ironing boards are available. microwaves are not provided.

lake junaluska's terrace hotel is minutes from interstates 40 and 26 in western north carolina. within an hour's drive is gatlinburg, the great smokey mountains national park, cherokee, maggie valley, and the blue ridge parkway.

• what to wear? late september temps are generally delightful but be prepared for cool evenings and brisk mornings. .
  
• what meals are included? all meals are included - breakfast. lunch, and dinner.
  
• is coffee available for retreaters? each guest room is equipped with a kuerig coffee maker and k cups.
• do you have a snack table? not at this retreat.
• should I bring a lawn chair? no. The catawba river inn has ample outdoor seating options - some on decks, others outside on the grass adjacent to the river.
  
• what time is check out? - check out is 11:00 sunday morning. but there's no rush - enjoy the time between breakfast and 11 to fellowship and knit!
  
• what amenities are in my room? - each room includes private bath, plush bath linens, flat screen TV, free WIFI, mini fridge, ceiling fan, air conditioning, hairdryers and gas fireplaces. An ice machine is on the ground floor.

little switzerland embodies what western north carolina is all about. sweeping mountain views, abundant foliage, pleasant temperatures, numerous natural attractions, plus the blue ridge parkway!

little switzerland, began as a summer resort in 1910, was named because of its sweeping panoramas of deep valleys and distant ranges resembling those of the foothills of the swiss alps.

the unsophisticated and cozy big lynn lodge is our happy place any time of the year. and, late fall weather is always delightful.

• what to wear? daytime weather should be delightful but be prepared for cool evenings.
  
• what meals are included? breakfast and dinner. breakfast includes waffles, pancakes, toast, cooked to order eggs, and grits - order as much as you like. beer and wine are available but not included in the room price. you can also byob.
  
• is coffee available for retreaters? regular and decaf coffeer is ready in the lobby between 5:30 and 6 each morning and available all day. Hot water is available all day for tea and hot chocolate.
  
• should I bring a lawn chair? yes! bring a folding or lawn chair and mark it with a ribbon to identify it.
  
• What time is check out? - check out is 11:00 sunday morning. but there's no rush - enjoy the time between breakfast and 11 to fellowship and knit!

don’t be fooled by the february date and carolina beach’s laid back reputation. ​​there’s plenty of fun, great food, and good times to be had. stroll the vintage ​​boardwalk lined with pizza, donut and ice cream stands. rent a bike and explore the ​​town. take a relaxing morning or evening walk along the smooth, sandy beach.

join us for an exhilarating four days of great workshops led by skilled and ​​experienced teachers, shop our affable vendors, and share your love of knitting ​with ​other like-minded fiber artists.

btw, the average high temperature in carolina beach in february is a comfortable 60 ​degrees. The ​average low temperature is a sweater-wearing 38 degrees.

• what meals are included? we’ll have one group dinner during the retreat but all ​other meals are at your leisure. the lobby bistro serves breakfast, lunch, and ​dinner. numerous restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel.
  
• what amenities are in my room? - each room includes private bath, plush bath ​and bed linens, flat screen tv, free wifi, mini fridge, air conditioning, hairdryer, ​clothes iron, and ironing board. ice machines and microwave ovens are located on ​each floor. all rooms oceanfront with private balconies.

The courtyard by marriott oceanfront hotel is located right on the wide, sandy ​beach in fun-loving carolina beach, approximately 15 miles from the historic ​port city of wilmington. interstate 40 provides fast access and connects with ​interstate 95 about an hour and a half away.

wilmington international airport is medium size commercial airport with direct ​connections to atlanta, charlotte, minneapolis-st paul, dallas-fort worth, ​baltimore-washington, chicago, new york-newark, and others. The airport is 35 ​minutes from carolina beach.

downtown wilmington, historic fort fisher, the north carolina aquarium, and ​carolina beach state park are just minutes away.
